Jose Manuel Tejedor, re-elected Chairman of COMPORT

Jose Manuel Tejedor has been re-elected Chairman of Algeciras Bay Port Community (COMPORT) during the Extraordinary Electoral Assembly held in the last few hours, thereby completing the electoral process opened by the Association the past month of September.

In the event, held at Alboran hotel, COMPORt Board of Directors has also been renewed. It is composed of entrepreneurs and representatives of business associations of the port sector in the Bay of Algeciras.

Mr. Tejedor has expressed his gratitude to the Assembly for the confidence placed on him to continue carrying COMPORT flag with good pride during the next four years. The Chairman has appreciated the dedication, commitment and support of the team members who continue to accompany him in this new term. He also greeted the new members, thanking their willingness to face new challenges with determination, illusion and work. The Chairman of the Port Authority, Mr. Gerardo Landaluce, has congratulated the new board of directors, encouraging all of them to keep on working with enthusiasm and perseverance.

The Ordinary General Assembly, which preceded the electoral one, approved the 2019 financial statements, budget, contributions, as well as the incorporation of new members to the association, which currently has 145 members.

The Head of the Business Development Division of the Port Authority (APBA), Mr. Nicolas Martinez, reviewed the most relevant commercial activities carried out in 2019 and 2020. During the assembly, the members have been presented the association the new corporate image. The main objective of the change of image is to point out the geographical location of the Port Community highlighting “Algeciras” in the new corporate image.
